Through the development of a series of social issue posters, I aimed to shed light on an alternative perspective of cannabis, portraying it as a culture rather than solely a substance. Social issues encompass challenges that affect a significant portion of society, often reflecting a conflict between personal morality and societal norms. This project provided me with insight into the understanding that true comprehension of a culture requires firsthand experience. My intention was to challenge prevailing perceptions and demonstrate that negative associations stem from misconceptions passed down through generations. Each poster within the series offers a unique glimpse into the diverse facets of the cannabis world.

"Do you ? The start to a new culture."
When you meet someone new, there's usually a need for some kind of connection to spark the interest in developing a potential friendship. People bond over various things, and forming a connection over something like cannabis can be surprisingly profound and straightforward.

"Do you paint? The start to new inspiration."
Being an artist has its perks, but it also comes with a significant challenge known as artist's block. This blockage can stem from various factors, ranging from lack of engagement in a project to clients providing inconsistent or inaccurate information. Sometimes, all it takes is a spark of inspiration to reignite passion for a project, or the confidence to communicate effectively with a client about the viability of their ideas.

"Do you grow? The start to new knowledge."
When it comes to how growers choose to cultivate their plants, you'll find a diverse range of approaches. The process of growing involves understanding the specific plant and the desired yield. Growers invest years in research and practice before refining their "perfect" grow system. The depth of knowledge within this culture is extensive, with no definitive right or wrong answers—only continuous learning.

"Do you smoke? The start to a new friendship."
In the Seattle area, it's quite common for people you've just met to inquire about smoking habits, much like asking about drinking or smoking cigarettes. This question often serves as a casual way to find common ground and break the ice when getting to know someone.
